Recent movie season resulted multiple quantity devoted to multiple quantity of characters. Two movies (one by Spielberg and one by Bekmambetov) about Lincoln, sixteenth president of United States. And also two movies about Snow White. Lincoln movie (by Spielberg) provided Day-Lewis with his third Academy Award. And snow White movies gave more of stardom to Kristen Stewart and to Lily Collins.
Film Director from Kazakhstan Timur Bekmambetov introduce original version of Abraham Lincoln's life, based on Seth Grahame-Smith's story, telling that sixteenth President of United States was Vampire Hunter. Spielberg's version is a film about political struggle.
Difference in Snow White movies is generally in characters. Lily Colins' Snow White fights with sword in her arm, but still remains sweet creature, baby doll. Kristen Stewart's character is more severe on the surface. her Snow White is a girl hiding her sweetness under steel of hauberk. And they both accompanied by the male characters who fit them. Funny prince of Armie Hammer and more tough huntsman of Chris Hemsworth.
When comparing financial results of different movies about same name characters it becomes evedent that Snow White and Huntsman had bigger budget than Mirror, Mirror movie. Box office succes of movie with Kristen Stewart was even bigger than just proportionally, reaching $400m mark. Lincoln movies had similar budget, but more classical version earned definetly more.
