James Bond and his Messenger

Since Sony/Columbia had bought MGM together with rights for oo7 series production James Bond and his rivals in 9 cases out of 10 use a cellulars of certain trade mark.

Casino Royale became first movie of Bond series produced by Sony Co cinema division. In this movie bond his girlfriend and his rivals, all use Sonyericsson mobiles. And Bond uses his phone more often then his gun. If oyu don't believe. Let's see the time-line of brand placement.

1. (25:09) James uses his white K800i as Navigator, driving his Ford to the Ocean club on Bahamas.

2. (27:23 - 28:02) Bond finds out whom was a call from a bomber.

3.(43:26) Bond starts chasing another bomber (Carlos).

4.(51:09) Terrorist (Carlos) bombs himself in Miami airport instead of SkyFleet aircraft.

5.(1:15:19) Bond scans hotel rooms to find what's up

6.(1:13:40) Bond calls to HQ suffering from poison.

7.(1:59:43) Vesper gets messege from Gettler. (2:01:37) Bond runs through the streets of Venice with his own and Vesper's SonyEricsson.

8.Bond reads message from Vesper.

But also true that SonyEricsson mobiles is not only example of self-advertaising in movie. E.g. bond and others use VAIO notebooks, sony computers are installed in MI6 headquaters. Even LeChiffre has a old-fashioned sony TV on his yacht.

Of course bond movies are not unique ones in line of Sony/Columbia/MGM. The same way in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Lisbeth has SonyEricsson mobile and Sony photocamera, TV panels in cafes in appartments of Stockholm, in editorial etc, all are of familiar japanese trade mark. Even Sony portable computers (one used for  survilliance plus other one) appear in movie (when of couse they didn't try to change Apple computers, which logo appears more often to say true, prescribed by Larsson everywhere - Blomkvist and Salander use Apple portables basically).

True that Ericsson phones were also marked by Larsson, but that time it was only founded as SonyEricsson.

 And though in The Girl there is apple and Volvo which are more remarkable even, oo7 series became the most expensive Sony commercials with budget aproxiamately of $200m each one. And even before finishig the job, and saying 'Bond, James Bond' (as it looks) he will check his account in social network through his favorite mobile phone.
