According to recent information Universal which works with Bourne series is ready to make another Bourne film featuring Matt Damon. But actor on his side has his own requirements to sign new contract.
It is stated that actor will be ready to negotiate possibility of his return to spy franchise only if Paul Greengrass who directed The Bourne Ultimatum will be secured for the project. It is evident that studio is eager to continue series as they became one of the most successful film franchise of contemporary. But on the other side recent movie (without Damon's participation, Bourne Legacy) was not able to show box office performance equal to this of movie number three, no matter that there were other Hollywood stars involved. Film about agent Cross made only $276m worldwide, when its budget is estimated to be even bigger than that of recent Damon Bourne movie for $10m. It became evident that audience is much less interested on franchise when there is no its top hero and that is why studio should be ready to pay leading actor even more than $20m reward he recieved for Ultimatum. So wait and see.
