Steven Spielberg when presenting the winner of Cannes 2013 Blue is the Warmest Colour gave award not only to the director Abdelatif Kechiche, but also to actresses who performed leading parts Lea Seydoux and Adele Exarchopoulos.
Movie is a story of love of two girls. And as in France it is time of public protests against homosexual marriages law, Spielberg needed to confirm that this decision s not political one. This is also very special case when award was given not only to director, but also to actresses.
