Steven Spielberg will be chief of jury in Cannes

Academy award-winning film director Steven Spielberg will be chief of jury at Cannes festival 2013. Spielberg himself never won Palm d'Or, but in may he will decide with his jury, who will win awards of Cannes.

Recent project of top american filmmaker is a successful movie devoted to Abraham Lincoln. Movie won many awards, including Oscars and earned more than $250m of Box Office. According to some sources Spielberg now is interested in adoptation of Napoleon's story and most probably it may be TV mini-series. Previously it was Stanley Kubrik  who tried to make film about french emperor. Before Lincoln there was War horse, so we may say it is some period of biopics and war movies (in which Steven Spielberg was always interested and successful, remember Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's list).  But another kind of movies in which Spielberg is good are adventures and we don't know when next of the kind from him will be released, but we should think it will be.
