Sam Mendes will not return (to James Bond movie)

Game begins when game ends. As recent Bond movie went to screen MGM started preparations for next one, movie number 24. Despite rumours which circulated in media Sam Mendes declared that he will not direct one more James Bond movie. Studio will need to find new filmmaker. And not only filmmaker, some positions became vacant in Bond movie squad.

As we definetely understand now producers need to find new villian and new Bond girl for the cast, because they were killed, but not replaced like M in movie number 23. It will be not that easy to find antagonist as impressive as Javier Bardem, who made one of the best villians  (if not just the best one) for 007 series. On the other side some members of team introduced in Skyfall movie will stay, and that is not bad news. Q and Moneypenny returned in 007 series and made story more intresting.
In first movie with Craig Eva Green performed probably the strongest bond lady ever. Vesper Lynd was mixture of both love and betrayal which made her more complicated than usually. By this very private opinion Berenice Marlohe didn't make best-of-all Bond girl. Her lines was ended when her character was killed by antagonist and we didn't see too much pity on Bond's face. And her part was shorter than parts of both eva Green and Olga Kurilenko who performed Bond girls previously. Only new movie will be able to answer the question: will new Bond girl much high standarts of Ursula Andress, Halle Berry and Eva Green?
And also will be new movie that financially successful and qualified if there will not be some Academy award-winning director? May be  MGM will ask Tom Hooper, another british Oscar-winner, author of The King's Speech and Les Miserables, to make new movie. Skyfall made box office equal to box offices of both previous movies with Craig together. And previous five Sam Mendes' movies made  BO less than that only $721 m compared to $1,108 m. To repeat success studio will need to assamble perfect or almost perfect (if there is anything at least almost perfect in this world) one more time.
